Desislava Shpatova is a Director. She creates a theater which is close to the cinema and to something which is hers, which remains clinged to the stage, to the artist's team and to the audience a long time after the end of the play. Her projects are independent, author's; the texts are always adapted for theater from her, together with Snejina Petrova - the actress, in whose tandem almost every play is made. In her projects took part some of the most famous young actors in Bulgaria - at that time - not famous yet - curious to the laboratorial theater, to the theater as an attempt of living.

Most of her plays are in the selection of some of the biggest European theater festivals. Hungary, Canada, France are only a part of the countries, which Desi and her actors visit and where they present the Bulgarian theater the way it is - curious, brave, too much beyond the everyday life and the trivial, equivalent to the European. Desislava's performances are not for the mass taste. High and pretentious, Desislava Shpatova does serve neither the audience, nor the actors. Her common touch is extreme; it blows up the imagination and the inside. But she manifests it with the language of the minimal so that the Enormous can remain always living and unexhausted.
